Bauer’s 2016 Vapor protective line brings players their trademark tapered fit. This means that Vapor shin guards have a wider fit over the knees and a standard fit down through the lower portion of the shin. Vapor protective gear provides elite mobility without sacrificing protection or comfort. The X700 shin guards are Bauer’s entry-level model in the Vapor line and are designed for beginners that play in no-contact leagues.
The X700 shin guards have higher-quality medium density (MD) foams in the calf guard and thigh protector to increase protection.
Bauer Vapor X700 shin guards also feature a traditional 2-strap Velcro attachment system. The two 1” Velcro straps wrap all the way around the lower shin and knee regions and attach in the front to keep the pads in place all game long.
The X700s have the same soft, hydrophobic mesh liner found in the X800 model. It wicks away sweat, keeping the pads dryer and lighter during play.
Bauer Vapor X700 shin guards have the most comparable fit style to Easton’s entry-level Synergy 450 shin guards.
Thermoformed ribbed cap

Sizing Guidelines: Shin guards are measured best while the player is sitting. Using shin guards that are either too long or too short will result in the knee or instep being exposed and unprotected. Shin guards should be secured with shin guard straps or tape. To fit properly, first determine the level of play. Next, measure from the center of the kneecap to the top of the skate boot. Last, match the player’s shin size to the inches of shin guard.
