Bauer’s 2016 Nexus protective line brings players a traditional, or classic, fit. This means that the elbow pads have a high-volume fit both over the biceps and through the forearm. Nexus protective gear provides ultimate coverage with controlled movement.
The N7000 elbow pads are Bauer’s entry-level model in the Nexus line and will provide players with a good level of protection. They are best suited for beginners playing in no-contact leagues.
Bauer Nexus N7000 elbow pads utilize a different type of 3-piece Velcro attachment system. The N7000 model has a rigid forearm strap, a soft, stretchable, padding-less 1.5” bicep strap, and a unique 1” inner elbow lock strap that doubles back onto the forearm. Bauer also utilizes medium-density (MD) foams on the bicep and wrist guards for the highest level of protection at this price point.
The N7000s have a soft, hydrophobic mesh liner that wicks away sweat, keeping the pads dryer and lighter during play.
Bauer Nexus N7000 elbow pads have the most comparable fit and protection to CCM Tacks 3092 or Warrior Alpha QX4 models.

Sizing Guidelines: Measure the length between the shoulder pad and the cuff of the glove. Match the player’s measured size to the size of the elbow pads by inches. Determine the level of play and the level of protection necessary. When fastened securely, there should be no gap between the pad and either the biceps extension of the shoulder pad or the cuff of the glove. The elbow pad should not slip or move while fastened. Players who wear a short cuff style glove should choose the longer model of elbow pad.
